Announcement
Blade Magazine hosted the second of a series of seminars conducted on Randall Knives by Tom Clinton, Bob Gaddis and Bob Hunt at their June 2007 Knife event, the largest in the world.
The material presented covered the full tang models of the Vietnam era and paralleled the articles written by Bob Hunt, which are featured in a column appearing bimonthly in Blade Magazine. A most unusual and rare display of 1960 era and later knives were on hand to view from the collection of Tom Clinton and Bob Gaddis and served to support the presentation. Comments by the three presenters served to illustrate the distinctions between models and their various blades and handle types. Thirty-five collectors attended the event.
Concluding comments introduced the concept of forming a “Randall Collectors” club, for the purposes of furthering the education of interested Randall enthusiasts. This was followed by introducing a discussion of the format for establishing the entity, which would use the Blade show as its venue, and seminars as the vehicle for the circulation of factual information about Randall knives. The concept received overwhelming approval and over thirty left their names as supporters. All interested Randall collectors are welcome.
More information will be forthcoming and circulated as it is formulated and all who have signed up will be notified. To sign-up by email, contact Leanna Clinton clinton4@msn.com.
